Native to the tropical regions of South America, the cacao tree has been an important food source for thousands of years. Its botanical name Theobroma Cacao, literally means ‘Food of the Gods’.

Our certified-organic Cacao Powder has a smooth, full-bodied flavour and is considered to be the best tasting of all cacao varieties.

Our certified-organic cacao products are sourced from sustainable, co-op farms located in Peru. All farms involved in the co-op are part of a Development and Sustainability Program which involves giving incentives to farmers to produce organic and sustainable cacao products. The farmers undergo practical training and their environmental impact and sustainable growing practices are continually reviewed to ensure all standards are being met.
