Ethos - Baby Balm

HOW TO USE

Nappy rash: Apply a thin layer (pea sized amount) to clean dry  skin regularly at nappy changes, to help prevent nappy rash or soothe existing nappy rash.

Nappy rash is caused by an increase in the skin pH & microbiome dysregulation. The fermented coconut oil in our baby balm helps gently reacidify the skin to lower pH, which promotes an environment where healthy skin flora re-establish.

Minor skin irritation: Apply a thin layer to affected area 2-3 times a day; see your health professional if symptoms persist. Fermented coconut oil & shea butter are anti-inflammatory & promote skin cell healing.

Cradle cap: Apply a thin layer to the scalp to help alleviate build up of scales. After a few hours, gently exfoliate with a damp washcloth & rinse scalp to remove any oil residue.

Cradle cap is associated with an imbalance of Malassezia fungus, linked to inflammation. Research shows coconut oil can help shift the scalp microbiome to a more favourable balance.

INGREDIENTS

Shea butter (Butyrospermum parkii)*, fermented coconut oil (Cocos nucifera)**, beeswax (Cera alba)*, sunflower  oil (Helianthus annuus)*.

*Certified organic **organically grown

INSTRUCTIONS

Patch test before first use, and discontinue if irritation occurs.

Contains fermented coconut oil for its antibacterial/anti-fungal properties, which hardens in cool temperatures. To soften the balm at cooler times of the year, place it in a warm spot prior to using.

Use within six months of opening the jar. If using reusable nappies, consider using a nappy liner & hot washing to avoid residue build up from an oil based balm.

A zinc based nappy rash product may be required for severe nappy rash.
